Outward reinsurance is based on the needs to protect the own risks of UIC. Outward reinsurance allows the United Insurance Company to accept large insurance risks, while in case of loss to maintain their own financial stability. Moreover, sharing the responsibility with other Insurers, UIC follows the partnership principles in the insurance market.
Important area of the activity is to provide the partners retrocessional programs. Obligatory protection for UIC is provided by the world's largest Reinsurer - Hannover Re rated in Standard & Poor's at 'AA-'level and in AMBest at 'A'.
This program provides protection of UIC property risks in respect of direct business and inward reinsurance business as well.
